We at Custom Maid value our environment and our community. For this reason we use all-natural products. How do we know they're all-natural? We make them ourselves! We use castille soap, vinegar, baking soda and a variety of essential oils making our products all-natural, non-toxic and hypo-allergenic. Also, creating our own products means that we're not giving our money, or yours, to big companies with shareholders that are getting rich on being green.

In the spirit of keeping things local, Custom Maid has made an ongoing commitment to buy products (oils, etc) and hire employees from the local Portland area. By feeding money back into Portland, we can all support our local economy, strengthening an already incredible city.

Custom Maid has been fortunate enough to work with a top software designer to formulate a program that fully customizes your cleaning. This program keeps track of every chore in every room of your house with an accountability system so that you know everything you want done gets done. This system also keeps track of how long each room in your home takes so that we can constantly work to be more efficient. That's our commitment to our clients, a fully customizable clean!
The Folks at Custom Maid
Custom Maid was founded in June of 2009 by Laura Way and her partner Jessica Johnston. The couple was inspired by the community of Portland and how dedicated it is to fixing our climate by being green and keeping things local. They decided to start a house cleaning business in their spare time that held those same values as it's main philosophy.
Since the conception of Custom Maid, Laura and Jessica have been delighted by the reception of the philosophy. Portlanders love the concept of knowing what goes into every aspect of keeping their homes clean. The women have made profound connections with their clients and have deepened their sense of community, all the while, keeping their city healthy.
Both women still have day jobs but Custom Maid continues to grow. They have decided to start hiring local, qualified employees to help with new clients. Everyone on the Custom Maid team is excited about the success and future of the company.
